    CLINICAL
    PSYCHOLOGY
    Psychology is dedicated to the assessment and analysis of behavioral aspects.
    Psychology helps to understand and deal with problems that can cause:
    • Sadness, for which no objective reasons are found;
    • Irritability;
    • Sleep disturbances;
    • Lack of motivation / energy for activities in general;
    • Anxiety;
    • Other changes that we cannot understand and that disturb us.
    In their work, psychologists aim for the people they support to achieve:
    • Well-being with themselves;
    • Balance in their relationship with others and in their family and social integration.
    The most common situations that may require follow-up by a psychologist are, for example:
    • Inability to relate socially;
    • Difficulties in affective relationships;
    • Various fears (phobias);
    • Difficulties and school failure;
    • Difficulties and professional failure;
    • Death of loved ones (grief);
    • Separation from loved ones for various reasons (separated parents, ended relationships);
    • Mental illnesses;
    • Physical illnesses.
    Psychologists work closely with other clinical professionals, especially psychiatrists, child psychiatrists, neurologists, and pediatricians, both in shared patient follow-up and in conducting neuropsychological tests that assist in the diagnosis, for example, of memory disorders and/or dementia
